Simulation and Measurement Validation of a Finite-Length Cylindrical 3D UTD Model

In this paper we provide a modified 3D Uniform Theory of Diffraction (UTD) model for finite-length cylinder, and validate the by comparing to simulation measured data. The presented finite-cylinder UTD is adapted from conventional infinite-cylinder model, additionally add edge diffraction occurring at cap finite cylinder. reference obtained CST measurement vector network analyzer based channel sounder. From numerical examples analysis, it shown that agrees well with references more accurate than unmodified model.
